Simple Tips: Door Jewelry
October 9, 2011 by Aimee • 31 Comments
I love simple tips! This weekend, I added a pretty touch to our new front door.
I had a pretty nickel drawer (all of $1.50 value) know laying on a dresser and as I walked by I thought…hmm, I wonder if that would work!?!? Pulled out the screw and tried to shorten its length with a saw…20 minutes later I tried out the shortened length drawer knob, but it wasn’t going to screw it! Duh, the end was flat. When all else fails, hammer and nail, right. I grabbed a nail with a small head and it was a perfect fit. A dollop of super glue and that nail and knob were best friends for life. A quick hit with a mallet and I was so excited!!! A Front Door Jewelry ~ A little bling for the entrance! I love my little ornate DIY Door Jewelry!!!
It makes me want to leave my door open all day and thankfully with this cooler weather I can! Jewelry is a girl’s best friend after-all! And if you haven’t made a Halloween Wreath…today’s the perfect day. Go grab 2 bags of candy corns (that way you’ll have some for snacking) and follow my simple instructions…Candy Corn Wreath. Your children will nominate you for Parent of the Year!

That’s aDOORable! Sorry…couldn’t help myself… Really, it is a very cute idea! As for the gold jewelry, I never have liked gold and have always preferred silver…it will take some getting used to but maybe if I find something REALLY pretty..

It’s a good idea to put jewelries onto your doors. I did not actually think of it. You’ve given me an idea on how am I going to make my door precious too. By the way, I love the jewelries on the photo. They look so expensive.
I’d love to accessorize my doors too and this idea made me realize that it’s indeed possible. Thanks for sharing these tips.
