Top Ten Projects in 2011

December 28, 2011 by 18 Comments

This has been such a fun year!  I had been blogging for years, but in August 2009, as Little B began kindergarten and I took on a new role as her full-time teacher, I stepped away from blogging for a season as I pursued a major learning curve, homeschooling.  In October 2011, I realized that I desperately needed an outlet again.  A means to express my love for decorating and organization!  A forum where I could let my love of writing and photography flow!  I could hardly contain myself as I published my first post on It’s Overflowing, after over two years of being away.  A few of my sweet bloggy friends have giggled with me at my enthusiasm.  I think stepping away has helped me realize how much I absolutely LOVE being here!  I love expressing myself, creating, but most of all the friendships and encouragement!  As crazy as it sounds because, yes, blogging takes a lot of work, blogging totally energizes me!

It’s definitely filled a void in my life as I was craving a creative outlet and adult interaction (I’m a sahm to 2 toddlers). I had no idea how fulfilling blogging would be. You’ve already had so many gorgeous projects, and I’m looking forward to seeing more in the coming year!
