To add the reply feature to your comments, go to settings, posts and comments and then switch your comment location to a new option…embedded! So excited about this new feature, wanted to share with everyone!!!

Question…I went to go do this and my behind the scenes looks nothing like your screen shot or any of the other tutorials I found. Does everyone have some sort of updated blogger that I don’t know about?
Ashley…the screen shot is from the new blogger interface. On your dashboard click on “Try the updated blogger interface” right above the Language box.

That’s so exciting! I’ve been waiting for this to be a feature. Do you know someone leaves a comment and you reply to it, does the original commenter get notified or do they have to request that? I dont want people to feel like I’m not replying if they never get notified of it.

This is great!! I have been using Disqus but not loving it. Now that I removed my Disqus widget though, all of the comments on my blog look like they are from me…off to do some sleuthing
I just noticed today that I can now reply to someone’s comment on my blog. I’ve been waiting for this functionality.

I LOVE THIS!!!! I have been saying ever since I started blogging (Okay, only for like 2 months, but STILL) that I can’t believe Blogger hasn’t made replying to comments easy. YAY!
I am so glad we can do this now! Thanks for alerting me- I probably wouldn’t have noticed forever. 
I noticed this last week!! I was SO excited! Mine will not work in Chrome, but works in Firefox.
A friend and I tested it and we did not get email notifications. I think you would still have to click down there on the right that you want to subscribe to comments. BUT that would mean you would get email notifications when ANYONE commented.
I still love this feature though… will be especially nice for those bloggers that are no reply!

Ooohhhh….I was wondering why mine wasn’t working!! I tried this last week and followed the instructions per Blogger Buzz and I still couldn’t get it to work. But I guess it’s because I use Chrome. Which really stinks! Hopefully they’ll get that kink worked out soon!
Several of the blogs I follow have added this and I think it’s a great feature except for the fact that you are not notified when someone responds to your comment or question. I don’t want to subscribe to the comment feed. Hopefully, there will be a way to do this some time soon.
By the way, Aimee, thanks. I’ve been wondering how to do this.

Thank you for the tip, Aimee! This prompted me to finally switch over to the new blogger interface. I was wondering the same thing about people being notified when we reply to their comment. If people aren’t getting notified of our replies, could it be because they don’t have an email account associated with their google account????

I am a bit confused about this feature – do most people revisit comments to see if you have replied? I never have and just wondered why one would not want to reply to the commenter on their own blog – am I confused? Oh, and I won’t be back to this comment section, so I hope you’ll stop by to explain
For most, I am able to send a little email to or excitedly stop by for a little visit because their post includes a link. I also have found a good group of followers that don’t offer any contact information and they usually visit often, and yes, check to see if I left them an answer in response to their question. For those sweet followers, this reply feature is AWESOME!!! I LOVE it when I visit a blog and others before have left questions and there’s answer waiting for me before I even ask…those are the scenarios which make “reply to comment” SUPER FUN!!!
