Basket Decor {West Elm Knockoff}

I’d been LOVING this West Elm basket LOTS! So…
A little touch of yellow {I used the leftover paint from my curbside trash to kitchen cart makeover} and I’m LOVING my original, copycat West Elm basket! It’s the perfect touch of color to this side of the room. The table it’s resting on is different too…so I guess like most of my stories…this one is to be continued, too! Perhaps if Texas wasn’t so intent on refilling rivers and lakes, this tray would be resting on a totally different look! How’s the weather where you are!?! Puddles everywhere and rain still coming down!?!?
I’m off to a girl’s night out {one of my sweet besties is about to have her third which definitely calls for a pedicure and a fancy restaurant, right! Now the dilemma…boots, ballet slippers, or open toe shoes!?!? I really want my pedicure to last…it’s been way too long since I’ve spoiled myself like this, but I think my toes may freeze to death if their not snug in a shoe!!?! Isn’t being a girl so tough sometimes!?!? I got my new Lucky magazine and it’s all about shoes, I’m going to have to show you some of the new hip styles soon, unless you already have that covered!?!?! Maybe it will get us jazzed about Spring…of course if that means more rain showers, I say forget about it!!!

Yes please! That rocks!!! It is so fun to find “just the perfect” thing! And a quarter!! Giminy…any basket is worth that!
I like your variation of the original! That basket just needed a little love.
Have a fun evening!
That is so cute! I never would have thought to do that!

I’ll be looking for baskets this week. love how you painted yours.
WOW! That is just beautiful! ♥
How fun is that. Love the paint job, looks fantastic. I have also used stain on a few, they take on such a great patina. Hugs, Marty

Very cute and what a bargain! I saw your post over at “Brassy Apple” blog.
That turned out so nice! I love baskets, to me they are the best thing to decorate in my kitchen. I love the look of them, and they are great for storage. I always find really nice ones at second hand stores and especially at rummage sales. I have to say thought that I never thought of painting on like you did yours. I love it!
It turned out beautiful!
Love it! A great knockoff!
You are so clever…what a great knock-off!
Adore it! I’d love to have something like that in my own home!
I hope you’ll link up this project on my new link party!

A Quarter! Holy freakin’ moly… it’s gorgeous!
That looks great! I haven’t tried painting a basket yet, but you’ve inspired me! I love a good thrift store find too!
The basket looks great! Plus I just LOVE Yellow! I would love it if you would stop by the Naturally-Nifty Linky Party #3 and link up this and any other fun thing you have been up to lately! I’ll be linking up to your party today too!

Love the yellow, you are really rocking that color recently! I vote for the open-toed shoes, although we had a freak blast of warm air here, so when it hit 72 I packed the kids into the car and off to the pool! Nothing like swimming in February to give me a hit of the spring and summer to come:)
Very cool…I love painted baskets!

Great idea. Love the one that looks like it was dipped in white paint holding the flowers.
Just popped over from Skip to My Lou linky party to say I adore this! What a smart idea, definitely going to use this as inspiration. I’m your newest follower.
