Spring Tablescape

March 22, 2012 by 46 Comments

My sweet hubby brought some tulips home the other day which was a perfect excuse to set up a date for me and my best friend, Little B.
The little bunnies are from Pier One last year.  I haven’t been yet this year, I always love all of their seasonal items, I just may have to stop by there today.
I bought this mirrored tray in gold from a thrift store for a quarter a few months ago.  I took the mirror out and gave the tray a coat of glossy white, then spot sanded it to add a bit of depth to the tray.

I know I’ve said it before, here, but one of my weaknesses is always white vases.  So much versatility for next to nothing, just can’t resist!

I used a thick nail and a little hammer to carefully make a whole on each end of an egg. Then I did the disgusting glamorous act of blowing out this little beauty.  I printed an ‘a’ for me and ‘b’ for Little b.  Then traced it onto the shell and painted a splash of pink.

My fleur-de-lys juice glasses are from World Market, a little better priced than the ones at Anthropologie, but just as cute!!!  I love these so much for sweet girly tablescapes!

I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with my sweet bestie!  It’s the best meal of the day, for sure!

  1. Very sweet Aimee! I too am a sucker for white vases/ceramics. They go with everything. Those eggs are adorable too… even with the blowing of the yolks. It is disgusting isn’t it?! What we go through for design :)

  2. Who would have thought to do that to the eggs?! Too cute.

So pretty! I love the mirror. I have one just like it that I put my perfumes and knick knacks on in the master bedroom. I might need to give it a coat of white lacquer. I love the look of yours.

  7. I am visiting via Centsational Girl. I adore your project. So clever!

  8. Aimee… this is so sweet… a white with a touch of pink is the most sweetest thing I know.

The egg give an extra zest of your setting. Very pretty.

BTW, I had this egg last year but colour eggs.

  11. i love your white tulips in white vases!

  12. I love that white tray!

  13. Such a pretty white table, Aimee! I think we get so accustomed to all the pastels of Spring and trying to dye the eggs from white to anything else BUT white, that we forget what a beautfiul table all white can be! Wonderful job on the egg with the tulip through it. I have never blown an egg for the very reason you described. I just don’t know that I could bring myself to do it! :-) I really like the way you gathered all the vases onto the mirrored tray. Very pretty! Enjoy your weekend!

  14. love the collection of vases on the mirror. Such a pretty table.

  15. Robin says:
