Ballard Design Memo Board for Less {Organization}

May 17, 2012 by 23 Comments

This month, as I was thumbing through my Ballard Design Magazine,

I totally knew what I was needing…the $49-$219
Ballard Design Burlap Memo Board…for less!
In January, I always feel like I’m SO busy trying to recoup from Christmas, then

May rolls around and I’m totally taken aback by how calm January was actually!
Friends…How are you holding together with all your end of the year activities!?!?

I’m totally needing a new calendar and organization system!  Check out my solution!

Any craft store has these supplies.  Today, I chose Walmart!
Burlap Fabric, Decorative Nails 7/16 inch, and an Art Canvas {18×24}
I already had the staple gun…this and my hot glue gun are totally my best friends!
I folded the edges of the burlap around the entire edge of
 the canvas and stapled every inch and a half.  {Simple, right!}
Then I placed with the placement of my decorative nails.
I didn’t major in math and “rest” time doesn’t last long these days…
so I grabbed my fabric tape measure to look real professional
and depended mainly on my trusty crafty eyes!
{The tricky part is making sure that the length and depth are fairly coordinated.}
And here it is…LOVE it!  Sweet Little B is so excited about her
Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance that is quickly approaching so she
ran and grabbed this pic from last year for me to put on display!What else is going up there!??!

A Printable Calendar FOR SURE!  I love using my iPhone
and iCalendar, but for this month and next, I need something
staring me in the face so I don’t miss another doctor

appointment for my Sweet B’s….Oops!

  5. Very pretty! I’ve made a few of these and gave them away as gifts. I paint the canvas first the same color as the burlap.
