Inspired Dreams for Spring

1.  I’ve been a busy little bee cleaning and sorting through my home?

  • With the arrival of Spring, there’s fresh motivation to reclaim space.  Spring inspires me to look for ways to simplify my life by clearing out the clutter and welcoming new systems of organization.  Pretty storage solutions are a total bonus, tons on my pinterest board.

2. Gorgeous weather refreshes and energizes me to try new home projects.  I’ve pinned lots of inspiration for diy projects.

  • Spring is the time of year we add touches of color throughout our home…from the front porch all the way through to the back porch!  I’m thumbing through paint swatches looking for a great way to add a pop of color to my front porch. Why limit myself, color on both sides is totally chic…check out the picture below…I’m totally inspired!!  Craving inspiration for front door ideas…check out {here} and {here}!   And to spruce up the entire porch {here}!

  • This time of year is perfect for putting a little sweat equity into your home!  It’s the time of year that I like to throw my hair back into a pony tail and grab a paintbrush and bucket of paint.  It’s the time of year to add board and batten to a wall {here}, update your kitchen {here}, and refinish furniture {here}.

  • One of the biggest WOW impacts in a home is a bright kitchen!  My old kitchen cabinets lacked depth and were just plain ugly!  My dark dreary space was freshened this Spring with trim and several coats of paint.  White paint is like the little black dress of kitchens!  It’s totally flattering and it compliments any style!  And the simple addition of accessories can give the space a fresh new looks!  This transformation was definitely worth it’s time…a total dream come true!  Now I’m dreaming of organizing all the cabinets and adding touches of decor, I’ve pinned some of my ideas on my board.

  • This Spring I’m also dreaming about switching out my family room textiles…I have a great new rug that is screaming for some company!  I’ve been adding pillow inspiration to my pinterest board and am getting closer to making a decision! Pillows completely transform a room with very little effort.  I love reflecting the bright colors of my outdoor landscape inside my home in Spring.

3. Spring is also the perfect time to enjoy the fresh air, love on new blooms, and listen to beautiful bird songs…I’ve been dreaming lots about gardens and patio design!
  • I have been investing a whole lot of labor and love into my garden and am finally getting to the point that I can now just blast it on my lounge chair and daydream of what I will do with my drab back porch!

    Aimee, I just saw this post at Lines Across. Thanks for the collection of great ideas. I love seeing the blue inside of the door. I have always left my door brown wood inside but really, why? I should paint it for sure. I’ve been trying to get rid of the wood tones over the past few years and it’s likely it would have been eons before I thought of doing the door. Thanks!
