Thrift Store Finds I Adore | Ceative is a Way of Life Quote

Have you had a great weekend!?!? Did you find a second to do a little creating!?! I love this quote, “Being creative is not a hobby it is a way of life.” Isn’t that the truth! I’m excited to share with you a few of my fun finds while thrifting {isn’t that a verb} and at the end of this post, I’ll show you who I took with me to the antique store this weekend! You may be surprised!?!
Here’s my first love…I was tempted to buy it because it was just so perfect – as is, but I know we could make this so easily, I plan on making my own Prayer Requests Chalkboard with a yummy shade of aqua VERY SOON!
Do you L.O.V.E. this!?!? …the burlap on the wall is great, too…another great idea for burlap. So many great burlap home decor and craft ideas!
I am so tempted to buy more Ball Mason Jars…it’s a bet of an addiction! I have a mason jar post coming later this week, I’m excited to share it with you!
Ceramic pots and jugs…Perfect, right!!!
This cabinet is total inspiration for me. Aren’t the silver sage and yellow combination totally dreamy! I love Aged, Antique, Distressed Painted Furniture!
Wouldn’t these be great for my Dream Herb Garden Planters!?!
I just kept staring at all the details to this scale…the antique distressed shabby chic chippy paint on the scale is gorgeous and I could totally picture a couple gorgeous hydrangea blooms gathered in the vintage rusty metal can below the scale. Do you LOVE it!?!
And here’s my antique shopping buddy! Yep, my sweet hubby…I had shopped the entire antique store TWICE and he still wasn’t ready to go! No worries, he’s not a pack rat and limited his purchase to just a few that our sweet boys will totally love! This picture totally makes me smile.
I’m so glad he’s both my husband and my best friend!
Being friends with you makes me smile, too! Did you have a great weekend!?! Do share…even if you didn’t! I love knowing how my friends are doing! Any fun finds!? You can see more of my Thrify Finds here.

Love the burlap walls. Lots of eye candy, and how nice to have your shopping buddy.
I love the chalkboard and mason jars. You are so right. It is quite an addiction! But crafting is a way of life! Love it!

I bought a really cute fall hat at a yard sale on Sat….trying to get our place on the market this summer, so I’m slapping my own hand when I reach for the home goods at yard sales right now
I know….booo. Such a pitty with all the great summer yard sales!
I did get lots of basement trim painted and cut though. That’s always a good thing

Katie, you’re doing good if you can go and pass the home decor items…impressive self control! You’ll be so glad when you aren’t having to stash like crazy this summer! Good job on the basement trim…that’s a huge feat! XO, Aimee
Those are awesome thrifty finds or inspiration! I wish my husband loved to thrift!

I bought a bucket very similar to the grey one you showed at a shed sale for one dollar two weeks ago. My hubs thrifts with me too.
Now that’s completely ridiculous…I bet you were doing the happy dance with that find! I’m doing it for you! Xo, Aimee
Ohh I love these things I love going through thrift stores and finding wonderful stuff
My vintage/estate sale buddy is my husband – he totally encourages me to dig deeper!
I’m hopping by to say hi as your newest follower! I would love if you would check out my blog and if you like what you see please follow back

I love thrift shopping!
I see you had fun shopping this weekend, too. I saw so many mason and ball jars this weekend. Better prices than where I live, too, but didn’t buy a one.
Love those ball jars! I’m trying to get a collection together to use for a rehearsal dinner that I’m planning in the fall.
Great finds and amen to that quote!

I am soooo addicted to thrift shopping! garage sales too…My hubby has even set aside a storage area in our basement for all my finds, while they wait for future use! Love this post, love your blog…found you over at Tip Junkie
♥loves!
I love this post, thrift shopping is so much fun.
Oooh, you found so many cool things. I love the prayer requests chalkboard and the burlap on the wall. I’m always a fan of a man who thrifts and likes junk and antique shops. You’ve got a keeper!

I look forward to your post on Mason jars. I only have a few, but they come out for spring and summer flowers.
Loved your thrifty finds-I love that gray and yellow piece of furniture-yes I totally love distressed/antiqued anything!
They have some amazing items!!
Megan
sweet finds! love the “prayer request” board- never would have thought of that! also love the ball jars- I can’t ever pass these up!
I love the quote about creativity. It is just a way of life – always changing the simple and mundane to something just a little extra. Love all of your finds. I was at some wonderful antique stores yesterday, but I could only get my husband to look just so long. I have to go back without him.
I wish my shopping buddy could join me more than he gets to, but it’s always more fun with them, isn’t it? Such great things to see here…adore that scale!
Well….not this weekend (spent it working), but last weekend I found a beautiful $5 office chair at a Habitat ReStore that I am currently re-covering for my son’s gf. I’m taking pics and trying my hardest to get some good ones for a future post!
