Best Buys in July – Great Deals

I have compiled a list of the best buys in July, I’m excited to share these great deals with you.  With July being fully underway, most of you are spending your days at the pool keeping cool, but when you take a break from the sun…here’s a list of the best things to be shopping for in July!

Furniture

First best buy in July…furniture!  Furniture retailers are beginning to make room for new inventory.  This is the time to snatch it up for a huge mark down from it’s regular price…and sometimes companies will throw in an extra piece as well!  This is the time to start seeking out a great deal on a table, sofa or bedroom suite.  Because we’re on the hunt for deals, try to shop with an open mind, keeping an eye out for an unexpected item, which may end up being that perfect piece!

Patio Furniture

Along the same line, if you wait until just after the Fourth of July festivities, you’ll find patio furniture on discount as well.  If you’re wanting better selection, purchase your dream set soon.  If you hold out a little longer you’ll get a much better deal, although you might forgo some of the selection by waiting….a total nail biter!

Grills and Barbecue Pits

This is another that you will want to hold out for a couple more days.  After July 4th you will find the best deal on grills and barbecue pits. Up until Independence Day, grills will probably be inflated, but shortly following, you’ll find some super sales!

Yep, I went there!  And no, I’m not trying to make enemies.  If your kids are anything like mine, they want me in the pool with them, I might as well try to find something cute.  Go first thing in the morning when you’re less likely to run into someone you know and before you’ve indulged in your first sweet treat of the day, I know how it is!  In July, retailers start worrying that their floors will still have swimsuits in December so the prices gets slashed.

Sandals

Like with all seasonal items, the further into the summer you wait, the better the price you’re likely to get. However, this is the time that we’ll start seeing footwear discounts.  If you’ve procrastinated, it’s worked out for you, now’s the time!  Sadly, if you’re wanting a deal on sunglasses, you’ll have to wait.  There must be too many like me that are already onto their third pair of sunglasses – the last pair I loved so it was the most devastating.  I leaned over and the lens popped right out on the ground and it wouldn’t go back.  I’ll have to wait until the Fall to find a great deal.

Suits

With the heat in full intensity, suit sales are always down in July, (go figure, it’s hard enough to get Stud to go try on a suit without the heat).  Retailers offer the best deals on new suits in July when it’s inventory is not moving.

Tools

July is the perfect time to buy DIY tools!  What should we splurge on!?!  Tool sets, accessories, tool storage!?!?  I must say, Stud has the perfect birthday month for this deal, the beginning of August.  It’ll be Christmas before the deals are this good again!  Yes, we totally do pull our saws and drills out in triple digit weather.  Crazy, I know!
