Home Tours: Curacao ‘As Seen on the Bachelorette’

My hubby and I think Curacao: As Seen on the Bachelorette is real romantic. I wanted to watch the Bachelorette this season because I think Emily is adorable. But there was no convincing my sweet B’s they were ready for an early bedtime this summer and we don’t have a DVR (I know, lame). When I found out Emily’s finally dates were filmed in Curacao I got so excited. Guess who honeymooned in Curacao: the best-kept secret in the Caribbean!?!
Here are a couple pics from our honeymoon in Curacao…
(Notice the short hair?!) Curacao is totally dreamy, I can’t wait to visit this perfect Dutch island again. Can you believe one of my bloggy friends actually calls this island home!?! Karah, thanks so much for sharing, {Curacao: As Seen on the Bachelorette} with us!
I’m Karah and I blog over at the space between and I am so happy to be here today sharing a house tour of a house that you may find familiar. I’ve been enjoying Aimee’s recent house tour posts and immediately reached out to her hoping to be able to share this beautiful home with you all.
Sooooo, do you watch the Bachelorette?!?! (Don’t judge) Recognize this house? It was featured in the finale, where Jef and Arie met Emily’s family in Curacao. I actually live on the island of Curacao and am friends with the owners of this beautiful house! And they let me take a first hand look around. So exciting for me!! And YOU, I hope! When you arrive at the property you are instantly greeted by the beautiful, rustic Latin American influenced architecture and design that leads to the center courtyard and fountain. The floor tiles from Colombia throughout had me at hello!
Off one side of the courtyard is the beautiful kitchen with the solid stone vent surround and wonderful floor to ceiling tile.
The kitchen opens up to the very inviting living and dining area, on the waterfront side of the home. You might recognize this room …
Recognize that bird from the Bachelorette?? They had it moved by the wall. You could see it over Jeff’s shoulder while he was talking to Emily’s mom. And I had to smile when I spotted this succulent garden on the show. I love it in the basket with an orchid, pine cone and sea urchin. Perfect!
And your first peek at the water view out one of the master bedroom windows … looks to be about where Emily’s family sat with Jeff.
And more of my favorite part … the outdoor space. There were a couple of scenes on the Bachelorette finale shot under that pergola.
I had to take a self portrait to commemorate the occasion.
I even got lucky and somehow snagged an in-focus picture of a hummingbird in the garden.
It really is one of the most beautiful homes I’ve seen. Beautifully appointed by the water, wonderfully decorated with antique armoires and Turkish rugs throughout.
Thank you for letting me share this home on our treasure of the an island with you. For the full house tour please come over for a visit! More stunning pictures of this house can be found here, I also have a full house tour of where Jef met Bachelorette Emily’s daughter, Ricki here and an insider’s look at the eclectic tree house fantasy suite for Jeff and Emily here.

We spent one week of our honeymoon at the Marriott in Curacao and fell in love with the place. It was so beautiful and the people were so nice. I would love to go back someday.
You are one lucky duck…that is heavenly! Glad you shared
Gorgeous place! I like the outdoor areas best. Imagine that view.(Have you made any decisions about snip-snipping your hair?)

My hairdresser just had a baby and is only Tuesday and Thursday. I’m hoping for Tuesday, but if not I’m thinking she can squeeze me in on Thursday!!! I think having a “style” again will be real fun! XO, Aimee
Wow. That is beautiful. I don’t watch the show, but I have tons of friends that do. I’ve been crazing the beach recently. Your post does NOT help.
We honeymooned in Curacao, too! Can’t wait to get back someday!
So fun to have guest posted over here. Your pics from Curacao are great. Thank you so much for the opportunity. You’re my first stop back from vacation…time to get caught up on all things blog.
