Facing Adversity

This morning I took my sweeties to their new school for testing.  I hate to admit it, but I hardly slept last night…nerves.  Silly, right!  I’ve invested so much into the last four years of their education, I knew that the results had much more to do with me then my kids.  We were welcomed by the advanced reading teacher.  Picking up a bit of anxiousness from Little B, the test administrator engaged her in conversation.  The fact that both of them are avid readers and blessed with vivid imaginations, it was an instant connection!  It’s hard to see your child face difficult moments, but knowing each adversity faced has the potential of growing her faith, confirms our decision for this school year….and seeing her rise up and shine in that difficult moment, totally ministered to my heart.  I’ve had my own bit of adversity today…

Mother Letters

My iphoto memory has been saying it was full for a while, but I haven’t given stud a moment to get on the computer in the evening to switch out hard drives and such.  This afternoon, when I turned iphoto on…it crashed!)  I’m hoping I can face my bummer deal with the same beautiful grace my daughter displayed today!  And one of these days I have to show you the system that stud has for organizing pics on iphoto…totally rocks my world!
