I’m Loving these Decor and Clothing Styles {Date Night}

Do you and your hubby date often?!  Stud and I don’t go out on dates near enough, but when given the option…we always accept!  The other day my mom called and let me know she’d be in town for a few days and would watch my sweeties so the two of us could spend some time together…here’s what we did on our date night: delicious dinner out, shopping, more shopping, and more shopping!  I definitely have a super sweet hubby that made the night all about me!  So without further adieu, I’m Loving these Decor and Clothing Styles!

First stop was dinner, we’ve always been teased that we should get the senior discount because we eat so early, tonight was no different!  Have you eaten at Zoe’s before!?  It’s one of my obsessions…seriously!  We split Spinach Roll Ups (I will be remaking these from my own kitchen one of these days), Chicken Shish Kabobs, Rice Pilaf, and a Mediterranean Salad.  Okay, now I’m officially hungry!

Then we stopped off at my favorite shopping area: how can you go wrong when Potterybarn, William Sonoma, Apple Store, Barnes and Noble, Anthropologie, Gap, Francesca’s, Banana Republic, JCrew…all within walking distance!?  First stop, I upgraded my iPhone at the Apple Store.  There’s such a huge difference in quality between the 3 and 4…wish I could tell you more about the details and why behind that, but if you’re taking my photo course, you know that I’m more of a how you do it then a why you do it type of a person!  I had a blast taking a few pics with my new phone at anthropologie.  The eye candy is endless!  Don’t you love these crates!?  And with the Reclaimed Wood Chalkboard Tags, oh my goodness!  I’m thinking that I want a shelf just like this when we tear out and rebuild our pantry soon!

And the chandelier above this natural wooden table is perfectly whimsical with the eclectic collection of chairs.  Gorgeous!  I’ve been crushing a bit on green so seeing the green accents really made me excited!

This Retro Ikat Sofa looks so comfy.  Love it!  Know what I’m loving the guts out of!?!  The long shaggy pillow.  I’m thinking that’s on my must make list for this fall!  My sweet B’s will go crazy over that…and it’s stinking cute!  I’m also on the lookout for a new couch throw but haven’t found the right one yet!

Next stop, Gap!  My sweeties are wearing a uniform to school and I’ve realized there’s a uniform for the moms, too.  Workout capris!  I might even consider them using them for the intended purpose…who knows!?!  It’s been too many months since I’ve had a regular exercise routine!

In the picture below I’m posing to show off the thumb holes…I’m sure they’re super vogue, but I am planning on folding them over and hiding the holes.  Am I missing something with this style!?!   Speaking of style, after pondering short hair cuts, my hair dresser was too worried about going extreme on my hair so she cut four inches off and threw in some layers…next visit she’ll go crazier if I’d like.  She felt this was enough transition for now.  It’s definitely an improvement because my hair was feeling so lifeless and heavy before.  I am in the market for some new product…any suggestions!?  I want something that helps keep the ends from looking frizzy!

Want to see what I bought to wear with my new capris as my school uniform!?!  A tank and a jacket (the links are below) from GapBody.  Before deciding on these workout clothes, I also tried on Nike and Under Armor.  This brand and style is what I’ve found fits this girl best.

  1. GapFit fitted tank (on sale at my store)
  2. GapFit gFast capris
  3. GapFit full-zip jacket

That’s a wrap up of my super fun date night with Stud!  Most of all we had a blast hanging out together.  And my sweeties…after pushing us out the door so they could start their hangout time with Nana at the beginning of our date…asked when we could do it all again at the end of the date!   They had a total blast from start to finish!  What do the moms at your child’s school wear at pickup?  Do your kids have a uniform!?!   Speaking of pick up…I better get myself out the door school is about to release.  Fun talking with you friends!!!  XO, Aimee

I think the holes are for die-hard runners. Maybe it keeps their sleeves from running up their arms? I don’t know. I hate running! haha! And yet, I own two “running” jackets!!

I love the holes in the long sleeved shirts! They’re great for running so your sleeves don’t ride up!

For split ends, I recommend Redken’s “Smooth Down” – you can apply it prior to blowdrying hair and/or after your styling is done as a finisher to smooth your ends. I’ve used it for years and am still very happy with it! It seems expensive ($15+ per bottle) but I only have to buy it every 10 months to one year. You only need one to two pumps, so it lasts for a really long time.

Aimee – now I am obsessing over that pillow! I’ll be waiting for your tutorial so I can copy! lol And my stomach is growling because your dinner looked so yummy.

  5. Cute hair! I started using powder for texture. You can get some at most nice hair places. You sprinkle it by your roots and rub it in, that and a little bit of work with a ratting comb. Works wonders!

I love redden outshine for my ends. It keeps them tame without weighing down my hon hair. Since a teeny dab is all you need it lasts forever!

  7. Anthropologie is the best! It’s my happy place when it comes to retail. And I usually don’t even buy their clothes! look what i found there recently

Sounds like a wonderful date night, Aimee. I think those are great workout clothes, whether you work out or not. I love how comfy they are, but they still look chic in a casual kind of way!

  9. You are gorgeous…I love your hair! You did make me want to go shopping…and get a haircut!
