Adding Wall Sconces, New Drill

I love the look of adding wall sconces!  When we bought our house, we updated all the lights.  All with the exception of one room.  Our front room was designed as many homes were built years ago, without a light source.  Why!?  I’m not sure, except to assume by how many vintage lamps I see at every thrift store, they made up for the missing overhead lights with tons of lamps.  After looking at many places, both brick and mortar and online, I finally found the perfect wall sconces for my living room.

Home Depot made my day recently when they offered Stud and I some tools to review!  I mean seriously!?!  I was thinking maybe a screwdriver or a paint brush and was STOKED!  A drill…that totally rocked our world!  The drill is a RYOBI18V ONE+ Lithium ion Compact Drill Kit.  Lithium ion batteries produce a consistent charge throughout the life of the battery, can be charged many more times than other batteries and are not damaged by leaving the charger on too long.  Lithium ion batteries are light, allowing for smaller, more powerful outdoor and power tools.

RYOBI’s18V ONE+ battery holds a charge four times longer than NiCad batteries, helping the new home buyer complete jobs without having to stop to charge. The battery is also compatible with more than 50 RYOBI ONE+ products, making the RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lithium ion Compact Drill Kit a great product to start or enhance a growing tool collection in that new garage.  The light was real bright and the drill speed was brilliantly fast!

Less brilliant, my unsuccessful attempt(S) to turn on the light!  Stud, “Um, Aimee did you plug it in!?!”  Oh yeah!  This is about the millionth blonde moment I’ve had sense my lovely moment caught while making a vlog almost a year ago, Cleaning Tip: How to Refill Foaming Soap for Less.  Lovely.  Speaking of lovely…adding wall sconces!  I have a set in my Master Bedroom and My Boys Bedroom Decor too.

    Love the metallic touch! I think they are perfect. I am envisioning us visiting with some coffee with the sconces on and (if Bobby had his way) all of the boys’ cars all over the room!

    And that drill is super cool. I love the built-in magnet. Thinking I already have a Christmas gift idea!!!

    Wall lamps are a wonderful space saver, especially in bedrooms where there’s not room on a nightstand for a lamp. You did a great job and I know you’ll enjoy that pretty pair.
