Easy Halloween Crafts for Kids, Spider Soap

September 26, 2012 by 21 Comments

I love easy Halloween crafts for kids.  Last year we decorated our chandelier with tons of spider rings in a multitude of colors.  It turned out super cute and was totally simple.  Simple tends to be the key to crafting around my house.  These Easy Halloween Soaps have been a total blast for my sweet B’s, and they will be super cute for guests at our Halloween Party.

To prep the spider rings, cut off the plastic ring portion with wire cutters.

Set the spider into the mold and position the mold on a cold surface, such as granite…

Melt soap in the microwave according to package directions, then pour over the spider in the mold.

After 3-5 minutes of soap firming, use a toothpick to position the spider where you’d like and continue to hold with the toothpick for about 2 minutes, or until when you lift the toothpick the spider appears semi-set.

Allow the soap to cool in the mold for 20-40minutes.  Break the seal with a knife, then pop the soap out of the mold.  Enjoy fabulous FUN with your new DIY Halloween Spider Soap!  Keep checking back for more Easy Halloween Crafts for kids.

And I saw this…cute Spider Hairdo…too sweet not to share!

  17. We did these too a couple of years ago. Yours came out great! Like how you used the mold instead of the muffin pan like we did. You can snag cute printable labels for your soap on my blog here http://blog.capscreations.com/2010/10/diy-halloweenfall-soap-favors-and.html if you like.
