My iron is old, as I have been married for almost 38 years! But, I do enjoy it. I look for low cost vintage linens at etatae sales and wash and iron them. They are beautiful and I love to use them in my home.
I remember as a little girl, watching Andy of Mayberry. My Mom always had Dad’s dress shirts to iron. She had a glass bottle with a sprinkler and would sprinkle the clothes then roll them and put them in the laundry basket and then iron them. She started me on Dad’s cotton hankies and pillowcases. Later she would have me iron Dad’s dress shirts which were hard to do. I never disliked it and it is kind of fun.
