Thrifty Finds and Inspiration – Granbury

In years past I’ve hosted up to three parties on Little B’s birthday week – inviting close friends from her different circles (we love our friends like family), but for those of you that know Little B and her heart of gold, she would much rather spend her special day celebrating others than being celebrated herself. Since year she’s turning the big 1-0 birthday,we decide to think of a way to celebrate that would be near and dear to her heart always!
I told Stud my idea privately and then chatted with Little B started. Her idea ended up spot on to mine…every single detail! We stayed at a hotel in Granbury, Texas this weekend and with Gigi and Pa in tote, we shopped antique stores, went swimming at Granbury beach, walked around the Lake Granbury went swimming in the pool, painted our toes, and had a FABULOUS time! Little B’s favorite movie when she was younger was Eloise in the Plaza, I think we watched it a million times! Watching her own the hotel kept Gigi and I in stitches…precious memories!
Granbury Town Square
I love the white stenciled roses on this chalkboard!
French Motif Frames and Musical Flowers – on a Box spring – so fun!
A Mod Podge Frame with Buttons on Burlap!
Neutral Toned Twine in a Vintage Basket
Gorgeous Dresser
Scrabble Letter Tiles for a Multitude of Crafts!
A Vintage Typewriter & A Vintage Telephone
And just as they were closing up shop, we stumbled on this most perfect cottage decor shop! The bed had chalkboard paint on either side…one side says OPEN, flip it over and the other sides says CLOSED! Super cute…in a perfect shade of yellow!
Matching the super cute open/closed sign, was a precious yellow home – turned shop. And on the front porch of this quaint yellow shop, The Country Cottage (fb) was a darling wreath with fabric rosettes and the most perfect galvanized pails EVER! Knowing the shop was “closing” I quickly ran inside with these three super cute galvanized pails in hand, at the register I was charged $3 total! And then sweet Rhonda made sure we would be at Round Top Antiques Fair! My response, “Absolutely!” What about you sweet bloggy friends? I’m crossing my fingers you plan on being there, too — the weekend of September 28th — mark your calendar!

It has been a long time since I visited Granbury, but it looks like it is still as charming as ever! You make me want to go back.
Glad Little B had a special birthday and that we got to go out for a little thrifting time too
That was a darling little shop.
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Nici
