Vintage Mirror with a Coat of Spray Paint

I’m at it again, I just love my thrifty finds! This time I have a Vintage Mirror with a Coat of Spray Paint to showoff! I showed you the super cute Ethan Allen side table (here) purchased at my favorite thrift store a few weeks ago, such a steal, right! I love it so much! In my last pics, I had arranged my living room in such a way that the table was on the wall below the window (on the left in this picture), but it was just too cute to keep hidden, so it’s floating now!
Remember, this is where it was. Not only does this arrangement work better for my new-ish table…
It also gives me a huge canvas above my sofa to showcase my newest find…cute, right! This gold finish frame totally spoke to me at an estate sale! Are you dying to know how much I paid for it!?! You know I love deals, don’t you! My mother-in-law was smitten by a set of darling vintage side tables with granite tops.
In order to close the sale, the guy offered to throw in the vintage mirror her “daughter” was eying. She made the purchase and I made out with a super cute vintage mirror just begging for a makeover! Yep, $0! Thanks Gigi! (Speaking of Gigi, I think I almost have her convinced that she totally needs to start her own fun blog).
And so begins my “formal-ish” (really casual and comfy) living room! It’s amazing what a coat of spray paint can do to a piece, right! I’m loving this mirror with a Dark Gray glossy coat of love! No need for a tutorial here, but I do have a tip: be sure to remove the frame of vintage mirrors before spraying, they tend to have more of a gap between the frame and mirror and you definitely want the reflection to be coherent with the exterior update!
I’m planning on adding pictures in black and white from our 3700 mile road trip (here) we took this spring as a family. I’ll be sharing black and white pics of those bridges and barns images with you, too! I better set to work on that, you know how busy life becomes the closer we get to the holidays!
Speaking of spray paint…did you ever see the white chandelier (here) I spray painted in the dining room…if you were sitting on this couch you’d be staring at it! If you were sitting here, we could also share a little cup of tea! Wouldn’t that be nice!
I’m off to do a little more spray painting! More spray paint posts still to come this week! You can check out more thrifty finds (here).

Thanks for taking time to leave me a note…I totally appreciate it! The pillows on my sofa are from West Elm and IKEA. I talk a little about them (here). Enjoy your long weekend!!! XO, Aimee

Great color choice on the mirror! It works so well with your pillows! The chandi looks great too. I love “free” anytime!
Great mix of deco items in the room- love the Ethan Allen piece!
Love it- I cannot believe you got that for free! I especially love that end table- good job moving it out from the wall- that thing needs to be admired!
Hi! I love your thrifty finds! I recently moved to Dallas, TX, do you know of any thrift shops in my area? Or where I could find some? Thank you for your time! I love your photography blogs and everything inbetween!
How lovely does that mirror look in your living room–it’s the perfect color. I loves me some spray paint projects!
Would love to know where your favorite thrift store is so I can get some fun stuff!
The mirror looks perfect over the sofa, and what a deal to get the benefit of your mil’s table purchase. I can’t wait to see the photos, too. My afternoon will include taking pictures of my spray paint project from yesterday, to link to Met Monday tomorrow. There are so few things spray paint can’t improve it’s hard to think what they are.
