I love home decor tips! I think this one is perfect for all my potty training friends. Growing up as one of four girls, I loved all the brainstorming sessions we shared over every single important and non-important event in life! And even more, I love that we still have those brainstorming sessions as adults, nowadays they’re usually over the phone, and the subject is almost always parenting related. I love this fun tip that my little sister shared with me when her first and my second were potty training.
If you have your little ones toilet seat resting on the floor of your bathroom ~ ugh, right! Buy a cute hook for a few bucks and take the time to find the wall studs and mount it into the wall. (You want to find the studs because you know how it is, when you’ve gotta go…you’ve gotta go, the seat is not going to be carefully removed from the hook). This is one of those things as a mom that made the potty training phase of life so much prettier. Send me a pic if you do this…I’d love to see the hook you find. Would you like to share fabulous, fun Home Decor Tips, send me an email at ItsOverflowing (at) gmail (dot) com.

hahaha what a great idea! made me laugh, but I love it!
My Grandson will be potting training sometime next year and I will show this to my daughter. It’s a very good idea!
Aimee, what a great and practical tip! I sure hope you share this at TUTORIAL TIPS AND TIDBITS. Link goes live Wednesday at 8:00 pm. I wish I had seen this when my kids were potty training… but then again… my son like tinkling on trees outside best! Thankfully he grew up and grew out of that habit!
Definitely Yvonne! I’m excited for your party on Wednesday! As for tree watering, I’m glad to hear at some point they outgrow it…LOL. XO, Aimee
This cracked me up as I’m always shoving our potty seat on top of the garbage, standing it propped up against the wall, etc. We did buy a new one for our downstairs bath that came with a plastic L hook that hooks on to the side of the commode! Brilliant!
Thanks for the laugh!
*gasp* THANK YOU for this tip!!! My little guy is potty training and he has 2 potties in the downstairs bathroom…this will be wonderful since he uses the guest bathroom!
