It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! December is a very fun month at our house! Not only do we celebrate the birth of our Savior all month long…about midway through the month we celebrate Baby B’s birthday! He was suppose to be a January baby, but he didn’t want to miss Christmas! Here are the plans for his Christmas Birthday Party! (And if you’re looking for a party invite…here’s a free one from me to you).
You may have seen this picture on the day the package arrived in the mail (I shared it on instagram). It’s totally fitting that Baby B chose to have a Christmas themed birthday party this year…it’ll be good practice since he’s decided to be Santa when he grows up!
I was able to get everything I needed from my local Dollar General at lower prices than most other stores…napkins, candy canes, bells, ornaments, ornament hooks, rice, beans, white mini-Christmas lights….and my personal favorite – super cool hard plastic snowflake and candy cane designed straws (which will be going home with the kids as a party favor)!
I saw a bush lying on the side of the road that was perfect for Baby B’s birthday party centerpiece! Awesome for adding a ton of color and height!
I trimmed the bush then sprayed it white (yes, I trimmed inside…I’m a messy crafter). After trimming, I sprayed it white (predicable, I know). Then using rice and beans I secured them in a pot I had in my decor closet and tied a piece of red and white twine.
The boys will be over next weekend for a Christmas movie and FUN! And I plan on using these recipes to fill my stacked cake stands!
