Don’t you just LOVE Dreamy Dwelling Home Tours?! Usually I showcase real home real estate, but today we’re walking through HGTV’s 2013 Dream Home on Kiawah Island, 21 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina. I totally love HGTV and am so excited to have recently been asked to contribute, seven organizational articles for HGTV.com. There’s no better way to celebrate submitting the articles from this awesome assignment then to show a peek at why I think HGTV blasts it like no other! Enjoy Dreamy Dwelling Home Tour South Carolina Coastal.
“Low Country Zen cottage nestled along verdant marshland on Kiawah Island in South Carolina.”
Each board is laid with amazing craftsmanship, look at the finished underside eaves of the soffit!
The almost 4,000 square feet of living space is open concept, aka, an awesome track for my sweeties to run laps!
Above the fireplace are two 150-pound gates from an architectural salvage store in Charleston.
Are you loving the painted ceilings in the kitchen!? I’m not so sure, but the range — oh my goodness — LOVE!
This pantry is so different than any I’ve ever seen before. It’s like decor storage on top and pantry down below. My sweeties would love the convenient food access!
Laundry rooms are meant to be colorful, don’t you think!? It takes away just a bit of the monotony of the chore!
The master suite has a gorgeous canopy poster bed and is mostly neutral with pops of tidal blue.
I really love the striped rung with the four post bed in the guest room….sort of a cottage feel.
The little girls’ retreat is totally yummy — blasting it with hues of coastal sea glass mixed with pops of lime green make this a very fun room. “Stencil pillows reference Kiawah Island’s amazing assortment of butterflies, many of which can be seen fluttering in the front yard.”
Spa – like bathrooms!
And the little boys’ retreat is equally perfect with bunks decked out with nautical, beach-themed inspiration.
I think the colors are perfectly South Carolina coastal. And with views of tidal waterways, several decks, and a “plunge” pool — I’m crossing my fingers my name is the announced winner. How long do you think the $500,000 additional would help float the taxes!?! Hmm!?!
