One of My Favorite Local Restaurants

Ten and a half years ago I gave birth to my sweet baby girl.  I was in total bliss and completely clueless about motherhood!  One of my sweet friends invited me to join a book club for moms and walk through this new adventure of motherhood with her other new moms.  My mommy friends have become some of my best friends!  Over the years we have supported each other through moves, new babies, job losses, unfamiliar phases of motherhood, illnesses, and many celebrations!  About a year ago, we started meeting at BJ’s Restaurant – it’s our favorite local spot!

When I heard about an opportunity to share my experiences at BJ’s Restaurant, I totally jumped on it!  My favorite things about this restaurant are — the tables are spaced out enough to allow real conversation with friends and family, the waitstaff is totally friendly and helpful, the decor offers a great ambiance, and there is so much variety of awesome food!

Usually I meet my girlfriends at BJ’s Restaurant, but Stud and I decided to go on a lunch date this week.  It was the best date we’ve shared in a long time.  After four years of homeschooling followed by this first year of our sweeties schooling at our neighborhood school, we’ve come to the point where we need to start thinking through the year to come.  I have to say, parenting is not an easy, well-marked journey (another reason I’m thankful for my ‘Homemakers’ group).

Not only was the discussion amazing, the food was so incredibly delicious!  We shared the Party for Two for $19.95 meal which included 2 soups or salads, a Medium BJ’s Signature Pizza, and BJ’s Famous Pizookie Dessert.  I ordered the tomato-mozzarella salad and Stud chose a house salad with ranch.

Stud let me choose our pizza.  I went with the deep dish spinach and artichoke pizza and it was so perfect.  Totally rich and delicious…and enough leftover for lunch tomorrow.

We saved room for the Pizookie Dessert!   Okay, seriously the best dessert EVER!  There are like seven different cookie options and you can even choose half-and-half.  We ordered a half peanut butter cookie AND half chocolate chip cookie…this gooey treat was topped with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream!  The awesome Pizookie, combined with the flat screen TVs showing two different baseball games, I think Stud will come here for his next guy’s night out!

The Party for Two is the perfect excuse to go have a date night with your sweetie, a fun girl’s night, or just a small celebration for the little things that make life so wonderful.

  2. You two are so cute and I LOVE that you call your hubby, Stud! It is always nice to see couples so in love! It sounds like you have a strong support group and relationship. You are blesses. Your pics have me drooling and I have to try the spinach artichoke pizza next time. And the Pizookie alone is making me gain weight just by looking at it. Haha.
