Ready to see some Cute Quotes …and My Shopping Splurge?! My clothing wardrobe had reached a point that each morning within seconds we were in a huge fight. “I have been shopping all of my life and still have nothing to wear.” So when my sister asked if I wanted to hit the new outlets (they’ve been there for a year, but they’re new-to-me) in Grand Prairie I agreed without hesitation! As soon as our families finished riding the trails, both hubbies and our kids headed home while we went out to do a little damage! We shopped at J.Crew, Banana Republic, and Kate Spade — until we ran out of time and money!
At Kate Spade I tried on six super cute dresses (the quality amazes me). I was obsessed with the Raspberry Kate Spade dress I’m modeling below. In August, my family is going to a family blogging event — I used our vacation as an excuse to splurge. The dress was already marked down, and there was a great sale, too — an extra 50% off of the lowest price. I also picked up the handbag in the picture below, the Treesh Beverly Breeze — 50% off plus another 20% off! And I walked away (just barely) without buying a super cute chunky silver watch, too. My sister talked me out of going totally overboard — I ended up spending $208 at Kate Spade.
Have you ever been into a Kate Spade store?! One of my favorite things to do when shopping is to admire the decor! I love this wall collage so much — “Live Colorfully!”
At Banana Republic everything was 50% off! I bought four dresses — three are long, maxi style and one is short and tailored. “If you find something you like, stick with it and buy at least three.” A navy handbag, five super comfy, reversible tanks, two real cute blouses, and two long chain necklaces all for under $150. For real! At J.Crew, everything was 50% off, too. I made it out with a long black maxi dress and two of their sweaters, one in navy and one in raspberry. My total was $110. My older sister helped me put a lot of the outfits together — she’s always had great style!
You know the clothing issue was a serious problem when you come home having spent more than $400 on yourself and your hubby’s totally proud of you! I think he’d been eavesdropping on my daily majorly wicked fights with my wardrobe! It’s hard to find time to shop for yourself, but a closet full of options is definitely a time saver!
