Ready for another Dreamy Dwelling Home Tour!?! Leslie from House on the Way and her hubby have four kids, ages 13 to 20, and a toy poodle! In 2007, while on a Sunday drive, they stumbled on a newly built home — fell in love, signed on the line, and she has been having fun decorating with color ever since! Thanks so much for taking us inside your beautiful home sweet friend –
One of my favorite things about my house is my front door. It was love at first sight. The wrought iron detail is unique and adds such character to the entrance.
I think you’ll notice that I adore red! Red has always been my favorite color, so naturally I have it throughout my home. Just take a peek at my living room as an example….
This gold glass top table is one of my favorite pieces of furniture. I love the design and it works perfectly between my two chairs.
My wooden swan sign is one of my favorite DIY projects. It’s a knockoff of a sign that I found years ago in a magazine. I carried the picture around for ages, until I finally created my own. It currently resides above my mantel.
My kitchen has so many details that I love! While I would like to have beautiful white cabinets, I do think the maple works really well in the space. They look great with the black accents and my granite countertops. I also think the design of the tile backsplash makes a wonderful focal point for the kitchen.
I love to mix the old with the new and my antique telephone has always held a special place in my heart. I cherish it because it was a gift from my grandmother.
This large Welsh cabinet also once belonged to my grandmother. She had it built specifically for a room in her home. Once she was ready to let go of it, I pulled out my wallet! I have always loved this cabinet. It’s a very substantial piece and it makes quite a statement.
You should also know that I love monograms! I have several throughout my home…inside and out!
My master bedroom and bath are on my list of rooms that deserve a make-over. There are lots of things I love about them, but there are some changes that I definitely would like to make.
The kids’ rooms seem so different than the rest of the house, but of course, they represent each child as an individual. They complement their personalities and tell a little bit about them.
Thank you so much for visiting with me today!
