The Little Mermaid – Visa Giveaway

When I was a little girl, The Little Mermaid was my absolute favorite movie!  Nothing is better than watching my favorite movie with my little girl.  We totally had fun quoting the movie when we were on the beach in Destin, Florida!  We dreamed about how incredibly fun it would be to be mermaids living deep under the sea, and we did a little body-surfing, inner-tubing, and jumping over big waves, too.  It was a total blast!

Little B’s birthday will be here really soon and while we were in Florida she decided that she wanted to have a swimming themed birthday party, with The Little Mermaid playing outside as the kids swam!  Sounds like a plan to me!  I love outdoor parties and now that we have a pool, I love that she has a September birthday!  Texas + September = Swimming!  As we sat on the beach we came up with a list of ideas that we were so excited to see come together!

We could never get tired of Ariel’s beautiful voice and her perfect blend of curiosity and innocence as she explores a whole new world!  After 17+ hours driving straight home from Florida, we spent the last day of summer break back in the pool with movies playing in the background.  The first movie we watched was The Little Mermaid!

Our favorite quote comes from a scene where Ariel learns what a ‘dinglehopper’ is–”Humans use these little babies to straighten their hair out!  See?  Just a little twirl here and a yank there and, voila! You’ve got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over.”  I love the enthusiasm in Ariel’s face as she discovers new things and I hope that my sweet Little B will always have eyes to enjoy the little things, have courage to follow her dreams, and to be ready to take on new adventures, because you never know the treasures you’ll find in each new chapter of life!
