We’re working on finding a place for everything in our homes and today’s topic is a hot button for most of us — Organizing Playroom, all those toys! I told you yesterday that I decided to go against the grain of my house layout and have moved my boys into the playroom. My boys are eighteen months apart so when they’re home its all play and the ability to give them room to play is working out to be better than I even anticipated. Here are a few tips for organizing toys!
Organize Toys and Books at Your House!
Hanging Closet Organizers for Kids Room Closet
Display Kid’s Art with String and Clothespins.
Store Books on Top — Toys on Bottom of Expedit from IKEA.
Use Clear Kitchen Canisters for Small Toys.
Create a Clean Look By Sorting ALL the Toys in Bins.
Barbie Organization in an Over the Door Storage Bin — works great for small stuffed animals, too.
Store Puzzle Pieces Inside Pencil Pouches then Dump them in a Bin.
This bag is so COOL and on my boys Christmas Wish List. I love that when its open, the pieces lie flat on the ground making it easier for them to locate the specific lego they need next. AND clean up in this drawstring bag is so simple!
Another great way to store small toys is a three tiered basket!
My boys would be totally stoked if I sorted their legos by color.
If you’re low on space, how great to use bins for a dual purpose, storage and as a chalkboard for artwork.
I will never tire of this brilliant idea! I especially love it when the glued on jar topper matches the contents!
Use an IKEA Expedit for Dual Purposes, as a Room Divider and to Store Toys.
DIY Clear Toy Storage Bags with Drawstrings
Build a Mini-Closet to Hang Dress Up.
IKEA Expedit Storage Baskets Under a Reading Bench.
