Last year I showed you lots of SUPER FUN Wooden Christmas Trees! (HERE). Stud spoiled me and made me one of my own — you may have seen a sneak peek pic when I shared my Christmas Party with Chevron Invitations!!?! (HERE). A little peek isn’t enough…let me show you how easy it was for Stud to create.
This was our inspiration Wooden Christmas Tree.
Here are the steps to make your own DIY Christmas Tree.
We decided the Wet Elm Inspired Tree would be the easiest (and most versatile). Stud cut long, thin pieces of 1/4″ mdf, and then looking at the inspiration picture, cut strips to varying lengths to form the tree.
Here it is all laid out ready for some wood glue.
And because I’ve been loving pretty things, I added a coat of mod podge, a generous sprinkle of glitter, and then another coat of mod podge!
I have my DIY Wooden Christmas Tree hanging in the hallway to Little B’s room. I’ll show it to you as soon as I finish taking pics for my Christmas 2013 House Tour! This crazy snow storm and four day snowed-in weekend, just following a Late Thanksgiving seems to be slowing me down!
What is your favorite DIY Christmas Decor — I’d love for you to share your DIY Christmas Decor Creations in the link party below! (Anything Christmas).
