I am one of four girls and wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! It’s a blast! Each of us has three kids so a large car is a must. We purchased my SUV brand new 8 years ago and it’s driven completely maintenance-free — until last week when Stud was on a business trip. Thankfully, my sweeties go to school within walking distance, so getting them dropped off and picked up was no big deal, but dropping a couple thousand was a big deal.
My older sister recently switched from her SUV to a minivan and having ridden in hers I am leaning towards buying a minivan, too! The Dodge Caravan comes highly recommended so my sweeties, Stud, and I made a visit to Bobby Bolding at Huffines Dodge in Plano for a test drive. The peekaboo mirror above the rear view mirror had me smitten on the spot. Who wouldn’t love peeking at these cuties? I wonder if they’d stay chilled on a long road trip if they had seats like these that recline. Seriously — it comes with reclining seats in the back row! And it features class-exclusive Super Stow ‘n Go®, dual Blu-rayTM DVD players,
Did you see how stretched out their legs were? And if that’s not enough room, the seats (all of them – even the back row) fold down easily. I love all the storage under the feet area even when the seats aren’t folded down. Definitely the Best-in-Class storage system.
This Caravan has so much cargo room. I could easily pick up several pieces of furniture from an estate sale, and Stud could throw a bunch of wood and tools in here!
My sweet baby knows me so well — he sits down and says, ‘Look, Mommy, I could charge your phone and your computer here!’ Welcome to 2014, doesn’t this totally make sense! Dodge invented the minivan segment 30 years ago. And Grand Caravan still reigns supreme, thanks to more than 75 minivan firsts.
Stud loved learning all about the performance panel. These guys were cracking me up how much fun they were having talking cars. And then every so often one of them would say, come over here and take a picture of this…and that. So if you want more pics, just let me know!
Here’s my favorite part of the control panel. Last week I went to my hairdresser for the second time since moving here. It’s six miles away. I was talking on the phone and didn’t hear google maps direct me to turn. When I got off the phone I had no idea where I was. Then my phone died. An hour and a half later I made my way back to my little ten-mile comfort zone. Stopped in at the hairdresser and rescheduled my appointment. True story.
I’m pretty sure built-in GPS is a necessity and not a luxury item for this girl with no sense of direction.
It totally suits me, right! And lots of room for toting my sweeties, nieces, nephews, camping gear, furniture finds, home improvement supplies…No wonder it’s America’s Best Selling and Most Awarded Minivan ever.
And it comes with a built in dance floor, too!!!
