The only thing better than getting the house cleaned up after a long weekend and new pillows on the sofa is getting a call from your baby sister — yesterday was a really good day! If you haven’t heard an update on Anna and Mark lately, check out their blog, UnendingPeace.com. My heart constantly feels real heavy as their suffering seems to be too much, but I have no doubt God’s smiling as they cling to Him moment by moment. For me, my pink pillows are therapeutic.
I showed you my new pillows from H&M the other day – love them. And can you believe it, the next day I found cute gray pillows at Marshalls and fun velvety soft wrapping paper (aka, wall art) at HomeGoods. Both were totally meant for my house. The art on the left is my velvety soft wrapping paper and on the right, a ‘LOVE’ print for Valentine’s Day and I’ll keep it up through the first weekend in March as a great reminder leading up to our anniversary! I love that the word LOVE has 1 Corinthians 13’s verse written within. Both are in large IKEA frames — so fun that this size frame had reversible matte boards – cream on one side, white on the other.
I’m always amazed by how much a little paint can change a room! The house decor was totally not me when we bought it — but it’s becoming mine with the soft gray walls and airy decor.
The back patio is yet to be touched, but that will change very soon! Top on my to-do list, get rid of the wires and dvd holder in the corner by flat screen TV — I want to minimize the electronics for now and eventually relocate the TV to another wall. Speaking of changes, I have a new update coming soon for the wall cropped out of the picture below, I think you’ll like it!
