Adding Chair Rail to Little B’s Room

Moving from a rancher into a more traditional home, one of the biggest differences is the wall height!  Besides the obvious need of more art in Little B’s room, it also needed some trim.  I talked Stud into adding Chair Rail to Little B’s Room!  Easiest update ever!

We pulled out the level to make sure our line around the room was even and then went to work cutting, joining, and stapling trim.

I love that Little B has a fun colorful wall that she’s adding pics of her own and pics that she loves to make a creative collage, but my favorite pics are on all three other walls — these black and white pics of family and friends tell her story over the last 11 years!  How in the world time is flying by so quickly, I have NO idea!  I’m so thankful for these sweet memories that we’ve captured over the years!

Back to the chair rail, Stud wrapped around the room, meeting the joining pieces along the wall with 45 degree angles and coping the corners.

Adding trim in this room is making me a little obsessed with trim — more to come for sure!!!  Tomorrow I’ll be back with another Dreamy Dwelling House Tour!
