DIY Light Switch Covers

This post brought to you by Duck Brand. All opinions are 100% mine.

A little someone always thinks any Duck Tape® that enters this house is hers!!!  Especially when its Glitter Duck Tape®!  I’ve tucked all of Easter back in the attic and there is a definite need for some Spring Decor! Little B and I picked a great way to start — the light switch covers in her room were way too plain!

Step One.

Remove the light switch cover from the wall.

left for closet light >> middle for ceiling fan >> right for room light.

We grabbed a pillow from her room so we could decide which color to use!!!

Little B went back and forth between the Pink Glitter and Silver Glitter!  They’re both WAY too cute!  She was finally able to decide when I told her we could go crazy and change it out when she was ready!  Next time I’m going to have her use the thin strip Duck Tape® and make her own design!

Step Two.

Choose Your Color.  Little B picked — Silver Glitter Duck Tape®!

Step Three.

We wrapped three rows of tape on the front side of the plate, then added a small strip to either side.  After it was totally full of glitter we flipped the plate over and I used a knife to trim the excess and open up the light switch and screw holes.

Normally working with glitter is MESSY — not glitter Duck Tape®!

Step Four.

Re-install the Glitter Light Switch Holder!

Can you see the excitement!?!

It shimmers extra when the sunlight shines through the window!

I love a FUN update that is super fast and has NO cleanup!!!  Now we’re off to make a Duck Tape® Fairy Garden Bunting — love that it’s sprinkler friendly!
