When we moved into this house almost a year ago we set out to make this place our own. We covered up all the mustard yellow, hunter green, and dark chocolate walls with my favorite paint color, Gray Owl. Paint brightened each room so much (we still have a couple spaces to go), but there was still a sore sight in every room — the light fixtures. It would have been to pricey to switch out every ceiling fan and fixture so I did the next best thing! Check out my easy way to update light fixtures!
1. Little Girl’s Room
Have you seen the updates I’ve added to my little girl’s room – here? Her room is real sweet, but the amber glass light covers were making more of a statement than I wanted. Walking through my favorite home improvement store I stumbled on some light covers that were perfect for her room!
2. Hall Bathroom
We have so much work ahead of us in this small space. The walls are screaming for paint! I haven’t decided what I’m doing in here, but why wait on updating the light fixture, right!?! I already see huge progress — it’s giving me the itch to keep going in here. What’s your favorite hall bath color!?!
1. Master Bedroom and Bathroom
And after seeing the difference in the other rooms, I picked up a few more covers for the the master bedroom and bathroom — each room has a ceiling fan like the one below. It’s amazing that the look totally changed just by switching out the alabaster light covers to shiny opal glass light covers (2 1/4 inch neck).
