Ceiling Patch and Texture

August 21, 2014 by 6 Comments

As you walk through a home, nothing is more awkward than a remodel done in such a way that it is obvious.  Ceiling Patch and Texture is some of the surest giveaways!  Watching my ceiling patches get covered with Sheetrock, wiped with joint compound, sprayed to match the existing texture, and painted to blend in with the ceiling, had me biting my fingernails!

If you ever need the number to a texture artist in the DFW metroplex, leave me a line and I’ll give you Angel’s number.

He added, scraped, sanded, and blended like no one I’ve ever seen before.

I don’t know if you can tell from this angle, but the ceiling blends flawlessly.

And just to show you a little more behind the scenes, check out the dust art on the dresser under our family room TV — my cute seven year old left his mark.  I’m dusting daily, but it’s obviously not enough!

And would you believe after that amazing Ceiling Patch and Texture, the painter comes in and uses the wrong shade and the wrong sheen!?  Time to make another call to the contractor.  Ugh!  This kind of thing happens all the time in remodels, but the thing I dread is him getting super grumpy!

I love how your kitchen has become a part of the living area rather than a separate room to itself. Its so beautiful. Your design plan has been very successful. Looking forward to the final reveal!

The remodel is looking great. You & your husband are so talented.
As far a “diva” contractors go you might have hit the jack pot. I am experiencing a “wired too tight” builder. Man, it has taken a lot of praying & walking in the spirit to push through! Lol
Can’t wait to see the reveal!

I hate people getting grumpy, too. But…you’re paying for it, and it should be done right! Love how it’s coming together, even with the mistakes. It’ll be beautiful in the end!
