Ready for another Dreamy Dwelling Home Tour!?! This home has an amazing balance between style and simplicity. Let’s look around, paying close attention to the accessories, lighting and art. And of course the trim, because that’s one of the many fabulous features expected from a Beautiful 1920s House Tour!
Just walking up to this home, I’m amazed by the beautiful curb appeal…love the black window sash and chunky woodwork. The beds are well defined, the front door is beautiful, and the porch is totally welcoming.
The home opens up into this formal living room with an original wood burning stove. I love the simplicity of the mantle with a large mirror, candlesticks, and bright yellow tulips.
I’m usually a “paint the wood” spokesman, but the wood trim, crystal chandelier, and wood floors is totally meant to be in this beautiful home.
On instagram I shared I’m trying to decide between a button tufted and nail head headboard. I love that this settee incorporates both.
Another room to chill. I love the unexpected touches to this room. Like the throw draped across the sofa’s chaise, the different shade of gray ottoman used as a coffee table, ottoman of the sofa, and the touch of navy in the floating chair.
This floor plan is totally spacious. And the storage is so dreamy. The original built-in cabinet is absolutely gorgeous.
Pretty plate collection.
Beautiful French doors leading into office.
Original windows and screens. This home is immaculate condition.
Modern kitchen with a Carrara marble centered island.
Seating at the kitchen island. I love those bar stools. The storage in this kitchen is great, even with the upper cabinets removed.
For a number of years now, kitchens have been designed with a hidden microwave. If you use your microwave you may disagree with me!?! I think microwaves are eye sores, even when stainless.
The large kitchen with island has an adjacent breakfast room.
Double doors lead out to the courtyard.
Spacious eat-in kitchen area
Downstairs hallway, I love the art hanging on the wall. Looks like fun colors.
Downstairs full bath with trimmed walls and classic sconces.
Another beautiful shower – tub combo. I love all this marble. The large inset shelf for soap, too.
Another chandelier! I love how this bedroom works as both a sitting room and sleeping quarters for guest.
The master suite is spacious. It is rare to find a 1920s home with all the woodwork unpainted. The dark trim color looks great against these light blue-gray walls.
The double vanities are offset to leave room for a small antique secretary desk.
Did you see the floors in here!?! Marble is so timeless. I love this bathroom.
The marble and wood trim is great and I LOVE this original window.
My favorite part of this bathroom is the original restored bathtub
This is a great design for an itty bitty laundry room. I have emptied my cabinets in hope of my new laundry room counters being installed. I think this is the week!?!
Custom double sliding doors lead to courtyard.
Plenty of room for outdoor entertaining.
Lush landscaping, stone patio.
What’s your favorite room in this beautiful house?!!
