Casual Backyard Dining Tips

I’ve become a little nostalgic now that my oldest will be starting high school this year.  The pace of life is way too fast!  I try to carve out weekly family time as often as possible.  Sundays following church my family enjoys having a backyard picnic.  Here are some of my favorite casual backyard dining tips.

1. Prep for the meal (marinate meat and chop fruit and vegetables) the day before.

2. Set your picnic table with a pretty patterned table runner and an assortment of white dishes for a fun and shabby chic feel.

3. Add TIKI Brand products to all of your table surfaces to create a perfect relaxed ambiance. TIKI Brand Clean Burn Tabletop System, which includes plant-based Clean Burn Torch Fuel and Clean Burn Tabletop Firepieces provides a beautiful, bright flame with less smoke.

4. Use upside down mesh colanders to keep bugs away from food while setting up.

5. Add vases with garden cut flowers for a simple and inexpensive way to make your table pretty.

6. Hang banners from sturdy trees or arbor structures to take your entertaining up a notch.

7. Create a backyard living room by adding pillows, rugs, and lighting.  I love my TIKI citronella candles because they draw the eye to your table.

8. Need extra outdoor seating? Mix in dining chairs from inside the house.

9. Define your space by using torches to create paths, showcasing parts of your yard and outlining areas.

10. Cherish every word and laughter when enjoying Casual Backyard Dining because life is all about the journey.

11. Don’t skip out on dessert. Bakeries offer lots of fun options if you don’t have time to make one of your pinned desserts.
